Annual Awards
The GREaT Foundation Annual Awards were presented to our top donors of 2009 at the International Gaming Expo (26.01.10) and European Amusement and Gaming Expo (27.01.10) events in London.
The nominees, which were selected by an expert panel representing the Trade Associations and operators, each have shown a commitment to The GREaT Foundation beyond what was required of them be it financially or due to some other special circumstance that made their contribution more significant.
We are extremely grateful to all those who have made donations and hope that the Gambling Industry duly acknowledges the recipients of the Awards as these organisations have made an extra effort in supporting our fundraising campaign and so prevent the introduction of a statutory levy on all licence holders. In future, with comparable figures from this year, we will be able to identify a wider range of organisations that make an extra effort in supporting us.
The Rank Group plc not only donated very generously but - thanks to its CEO, Ian Burke has also set the standard in broadening our donor constituency by encouraging its suppliers to support us as well. It is for this reason that The Rank Group plc was unanimously voted Donor of the Year 2009.
