The GREaT Foundation raises funds through voluntary donations to support socially responsible gambling research, education and treatment.
Despite the ongoing, challenging economic climate, we are delighted to report that, for the second year running, we achieved the minimum fundraising target that was set by Government in June 2009.
During 2010/11 we raised £5.024million - an increase of 0.5% on the previous year. During this period 209 organisations donated to GREaT for the very first time and this helped swell our total number of donors for the year to over 900 - a 9.6% increase on 2009/10. This growth is partly due to the fantastic support that the major gambling industry trade associations have given us in encouraging their members to donate - for which we are extremely grateful - and also to the Gambling Commission’s announcement earlier this year reminding operators that they must adhere to the mandatory licence conditions and codes of practice in respect of contributions to problem gambling.

Whatever your reason is for donating to GREaT, we very much hope that you will support us in 2011/12.
Rest assured, you can be confident in the knowledge that your donations are being used to get the best value for money in the provision of socially responsible gambling research, education and treatment.
