Karen Churches Peacock
Fundraising Director
Before joining The GREaT Foundation in April 2009, Karen spent 19 months working in the USA as a Guest Ranch Manager and Outdoor Guide. In May 2006 she joined Harrah's Entertainment Inc as a consultant and helped set up the UK office and supported the Managing Director in developing the expansion of the business in Europe. Prior to this, Karen spent four years creating and leading a series of national and international fundraising initiatives - including the Women's Great Walk 2003, Great Walk of China 2004 and Kellogg's Corn Flakes Great Walk 2005 - which inspired thousands to get active, raised £millions for charitable causes and received international media attention.
Karen is a keen traveller, adventurer and long distance walker and her exploits have taken her around the globe. Following the success of her Great Walk events, Karen has also been employed as a motivational speaker.
